As an Oncology Nurse at Memorial City, you will serve as a vital member of our patient care team, dedicated to delivering safe, accurate, and efficient treatment for individuals facing cancer. Your role is central to the patient journey, encompassing comprehensive assessments, medication safety, and the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biotherapies in accordance with Oncology Nurses Society (ONS) standards.
Beyond clinical duties, you will act as an educator and advocate for patients and their families. This includes providing clear guidance on treatment courses, managing side effects, and offering support through telephone triage to prioritize needs from emergent to non-urgent situations. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care, maintaining rigorous documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and adhering to strict safety and privacy protocols.
You will work within a fast-paced, multi-site environment where adaptability and critical thinking are essential. The role requires the ability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining a caring and professional demeanor, even in emotionally charged situations. As part of the team, you will also assist in training new employees and may be expected to travel to other company locations or work overtime to meet business needs.
