Located at the St. Vincent Care Center in Bismarck, ND, this position serves as a vital partner in our Infection Prevention program. You will work collaboratively with infection and prevention control staff under leadership to achieve program goals and objectives. The role involves evaluating infection control trends and practices while developing educational programs for employees.\n In this position, you will possess a working knowledge of microbiology and epidemiology to drive surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and reportable illnesses. Your day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing statistical data, consulting on asepsis, disinfection, sterilization, and isolation protocols, and monitoring compliance with standards and evidence-based strategies. You will also evaluate and improve patient outcomes, assist with research needs, and engage in special projects as assigned.
This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to seek out new information. You will work closely with our wound consultant on a weekly basis, participate in quality programs, and occasionally assist on the floor to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient safety.
