Presbyterian exists to improve the health of patients, members, and the communities we serve. Founded in New Mexico in 1908, we are the state's largest private employer and a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system. Our network includes nine hospitals, a statewide health plan, and a growing multi-specialty medical group, employing nearly 14,000 people, including over 1,600 providers and 4,700 nurses.
Our health plan serves more than 580,000 members statewide, offering Medicare Advantage, Medicaid (Centennial Care), and Commercial health plans. We are committed to supporting New Mexico's well-being through our work.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our General Medical Unit in Albuquerque. This role is designed for those who want to build their career and make a difference by delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. Whether you are a new graduate or an experienced professional, you will thrive in our dynamic healthcare environment.
The RN will conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. You will safely administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and provide timely interventions. A key part of this role involves educating patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans, while adhering to strict infection prevention protocols and responding effectively to medical emergencies.
We believe that how you grow, learn, and thrive matters. New graduates are invited to participate in our mandatory residency program, which features monthly seminars, peer-to-peer debriefing sessions, support groups, mentoring, and rounding. This program is designed to support your transition into practice. All staff have access to educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement and scholarship opportunities.
Presbyterian employees have access to a unique wellness program, including free on-site and community-based gyms, nutrition coaching, mindfulness resources, and wellness challenges. We prioritize staff safety with wearable badges that allow nurses to discreetly call for help when needed. Additionally, we offer malpractice liability insurance and loan forgiveness opportunities through the New Mexico Higher Education Department.
Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for qualified candidates. We welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced RNs. To apply, please submit your credentials for the General Medical Unit position. For more details on our employee benefits and wellness programs, please visit our internal resources.
