About the Role
This position serves as a Registered Nurse within the Hematology Clinic at the UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, Colorado. As an onsite role, you will provide direct patient care in a medical setting, utilizing the nursing process in strict accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Your work will be guided by the organization's policies, values, and mission to optimize patient outcomes and maximize available resources.
In this fast-paced environment, you will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on thorough assessments. You will collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care, including patient transfers, discharges, and referrals, while ensuring spiritual and psychosocial support needs are met. A key part of your day involves evaluating the learning needs of patients and families, providing education tailored to their age, culture, and condition. You will also effectively delegate care to ancillary personnel and may have the opportunity to precept student nurses and new hires.
