This position serves as a Registered Nurse within the UCSF Endoscopy Center, supporting a high-volume outpatient environment handling 50-60 cases daily across six rooms. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, requiring proficiency in pre/post-procedure management, conscious sedation monitoring, and complex endoscopic procedures such as ERCP, EUS, and EGD.
You will join an interdisciplinary team supported by Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation. The unit operates on a day shift (5x8-hour schedule, 08:00 - 16:30) and requires the ability to float to other UCSF Endoscopy facilities as needed.
Applicants must submit a tentative Request to Off (RTO) at the time of submittal; additional requests mid-contract will not be accepted. RTO must be discussed and approved by the hiring manager at the time of offer. For Auto-Offer units, RTO is limited to a total of one week; anything over seven days requires manager approval.
Submission Requirements:
Modules are non-billable and included in NBO hours, varying between 1-24 hours depending on the unit. Travelers must complete only assigned modules in the LMS during pre-start and annually; transcripts are recorded from the UC Learning website. Anything over 24 hours is billable.
