About the Position
TravelNurseSource is partnering with Cynet Health to recruit a qualified Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy department in West Hills, California. This 12-week contract role focuses on providing specialized care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures, including EGD, EUS, Colonoscopy, and ERCP.
The role is designed for an experienced GI RN capable of managing a daily census of 2 to 5 patients, ranging from adults to geriatrics. You will work within an interdisciplinary team supported by physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services to treat diagnoses such as GI bleeds, anemia, and abdominal pain. The position requires active participation in patient recovery within the PACU, administering conscious sedation, and managing airway safety.
Day in the Life
As a Day Shift RN, you will work 8-hour shifts from 07:00 to 15:30. A key component of this role involves maintaining 1:1 patient ratios during procedures and managing on-call duties with a strict 30-minute response time. Weekend coverage is required, and the role may involve floating between units or travel assignments depending on facility needs. You will utilize the Epic charting system and operate specialized endoscopic equipment to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
