About the Role
PrimeCare Medical is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Director of Nursing (DON) for the medical department at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections in Manchester, PA. This position is pivotal in managing and evaluating nursing care delivery, ensuring all practices align with PrimeCare Medical's philosophy, goals, and objectives. The DON plays a critical role in upholding established nursing standards and ensuring compliance with NCCHC/ACA regulations within the correctional healthcare environment.
This role offers the opportunity to join the exciting and challenging world of correctional healthcare, where you will lead a team in providing essential health services to inmates and patients. As a leader, you will function as a role model for nursing staff, fostering a professional working relationship with facility staff, unit staff, contracted providers, and corporate teams. The position requires a blend of administrative oversight and hands-on clinical expertise, from conducting sick calls and initial physical assessments to coordinating pre-release planning and ensuring the continuity of care across shifts.

Requirements
- verifiedLicensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of New Hampshire
- verifiedPrevious management experience of a medical facility or 3 years' experience working in an emergency department
- verifiedExperience in health care delivery system
