As an RN Coordinator, you will serve as a vital member of the departmental management team, providing clinical leadership and professional expertise to a multidisciplinary group of RNs, LVNs, MAs, and administrative staff. This role is designed to bridge the gap between clinical operations and patient care, ensuring the seamless execution of complex administrative and clinical assignments within an outpatient setting.
You will act as the primary resource for physicians, staff, patients, and external departments, addressing intricate operational and patient-care coordination issues. A key component of your day involves overseeing a team of triage nurses, managing telephone triage for same-day appointments, and ensuring appropriate clinical prioritization. Beyond team leadership, you will utilize the nursing process to support care planning and decision-making for patients and their families, maintaining a safe environment that strictly adheres to privacy, safety, and infection control standards.
You will collaborate closely with management on workflow planning and quality initiatives, engaging in complex problem-solving to oversee patient care activities across multiple practice sites or within a specific clinic. This position requires a balance of independent judgment and collaborative teamwork, ensuring that exam rooms are maintained, safety protocols are followed, and the highest standards of patient advocacy are upheld.
