About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in our Pediatric Clinic, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate care to infants, children, and adolescents in an outpatient setting. This position is designed for a detail-oriented professional passionate about pediatrics who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with pediatric providers, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, ensuring each child receives personalized attention and support.
Your day will involve providing direct nursing care, from performing age-appropriate assessments and administering medications to educating families on diagnoses and preventive health practices. You will utilize electronic health records to maintain accurate documentation while participating in triage activities to prioritize patient needs. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide direct pediatric nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in an outpatient clinic setting
- check_circlePerform age-appropriate assessments, obtain vital signs, and monitor patient status throughout visits
- check_circleAdminister medications, vaccinations, and treatments safely following pediatric dosage and safety guidelines
- check_circleAssist pediatric providers with examinations, minor procedures, and diagnostic testing as needed
- check_circleDocument assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
- check_circleEducate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and healthy behaviors
- check_circleParticipate in telephone and in-clinic triage, prioritizing patient needs and escalating concerns appropriately
- check_circleSupport care coordination, follow-up appointments, and referrals to ensure continuity of care
- check_circleMaintain strict infection prevention and control practices and adhere to safety protocols at all times
- check_circleCollaborate with providers, medical assistants, and other team members to support efficient clinic workflows

Requirements
- verifiedActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wyoming (or compact state eligibility)
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification
- verifiedPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or obtained within specified timeframe)
- verifiedPediatric or ambulatory care experience preferred
- verifiedImmunization and injection competency
- verifiedFamiliarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
