About the Role
As an ER Registered Nurse, you will be an integral member of our Healthcare & Medical Services team, providing high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced emergency department. You will care for a diverse patient population presenting with a wide range of medical, surgical, and trauma conditions. This role exists to deliver timely assessment, intervention, and evaluation in alignment with evidence-based best practices, ensuring safe and efficient patient flow.
In this position, you will exercise sound clinical judgment to manage rapid changes in patient condition. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized care plans. Education and emotional support for patients and families are central to this position, helping them understand diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.

- check_circlePerform rapid, comprehensive patient assessments and triage based on acuity
- check_circleAdminister medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely according to provider orders
- check_circleMonitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to interventions
- check_circlePerform and assist with emergency procedures and wound care within RN scope of practice
- check_circleCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Requirements
- verifiedActive RN license in Delaware (or compact state)
- verifiedBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- verifiedCurrent BLS certification
- verifiedCurrent ACLS certification
- verifiedPALS and/or ENPC preferred
- verifiedCEN certification or commitment to pursue
- verifiedPrevious emergency department or acute care experience preferred
- verifiedCompetency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
Nice to Have
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or obtained within a defined timeframe. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and/or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) preferred. CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or commitment to pursue when eligible. Previous emergency department or acute care experience strongly preferred.
