The Transfer Center operates as a critical hub within this ecosystem, ensuring seamless patient transitions and optimizing resource allocation to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Registered Nurses in this position serve as the primary point of contact for physicians and referring healthcare providers seeking assistance with patient transfers. Working in a high-volume call center environment, you will be the vital link connecting referring facilities with the appropriate AHN destinations. Your role is essential in facilitating timely patient care transitions, managing complex requests ranging from telemedicine consults to emergency alerts, and ensuring that every patient receives the right level of care at the right time.

You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, clinical management, and non-clinical staff to optimize bed allocation and ensure high-quality care delivery. Success in this role requires the ability to simultaneously manage multiple software platforms and phone channels while maintaining composure and making critical clinical decisions under pressure.
