Join our team at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Cath Lab, you will apply your specialized training to deliver world-class health with human connection and make a difference every day through your extraordinary care.
Our staff work collaboratively with technologists, diagnostic cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and interventional radiologists. The role includes moderate sedation and critical nursing care for patients in the Cath Lab and related interventional radiology sites. Care is managed for biopsies, drain placements, spinal cord stimulators, nerve ablations, and other service line procedures. In the Cath Lab, you will work with devices such as Penumbra, Rotablator, Shockwave, Impella, Maquet Balloon Pumps, and other service line products.
You will work as part of a four-person rotating call team, providing 24-hour coverage for our community and the communities we serve. Interdepartmental collaboration is essential as you work with peers in the pre-operative area, radiology department, and inpatient care units. Our dynamic work team strives for constant improvement in our skills, processes, and knowledge to provide the best possible care for every patient.
A typical work schedule includes an average of 30 work hours per week (0.75 FTE) on a day shift. The position involves 10-hour daily shifts Monday through Friday, with rotating call coverage during weeknights and weekends. Each staff member is assigned approximately 14 days of call in a 6-week rotation, including two weekends. Holidays are fairly rotated between staff, and PTO adjustments may be made to accommodate staffing needs.
