At Saint Louis University Hospital, we believe it is more than a career—it is a calling. Our Cardiac Cath Lab team is dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients requiring specialized interventions in the catheterization laboratory and interventional radiology. We strive to create a therapeutic environment that supports the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of our patients and their families while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Cath Lab, you will serve as a professional practitioner managing and directing nursing care activities. This role is designed for energetic and highly motivated individuals who are passionate about supporting the success of Saint Louis University Hospital. You will be the primary point of contact for patient assessment, planning, and evaluation during critical procedures, ensuring that care is delivered with competence, collaboration, and compassion.
Your day-to-day involves performing comprehensive nursing assessments upon patient arrival, coordinating care plans with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and documenting interventions with precision. You will act as a resource for colleagues, patients, and families, guiding them through complex procedures while adhering to strict safety and infection control protocols. Whether managing pain, assessing for abuse, or providing age-appropriate care from adolescence to geriatrics, your expertise ensures that high-risk patients receive the specialized attention they need.
This is a full-time position offering day and evening shifts. The standard schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, running from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. The department observes six major holidays. To ensure continuous coverage, the role includes on-call requirements: one weekend per month and one day per week, totaling approximately 7-8 call shifts per month.
