At Saint Louis University Hospital, we believe that nursing is more than a career—it is a calling. Our Cardiac Cath Lab team is dedicated to providing exceptional, specialized care to patients requiring interventional radiology and catheterization services. We foster a culture of excellence where every team member is empowered to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology department, you will manage and direct nursing care activities in a high-acuity environment. This role is designed for energetic and highly motivated professionals who thrive on supporting the success of Saint Louis University Hospital. You will serve as a vital resource for patients, families, and the medical team, ensuring that care is delivered with competence, compassion, and precision.
Your journey begins with comprehensive nursing assessments, forming the foundation for a tailored plan of care that addresses the unique needs of each patient. You will coordinate with physicians, anesthesia teams, and other disciplines to implement interventions, manage pain, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures and recovery. Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in quality improvement initiatives, mentoring colleagues, and upholding the highest standards of infection control and service excellence.
We offer flexible scheduling options for full-time day and evening shifts. The standard schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, running from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. To ensure continuous coverage, the role includes on-call requirements: one weekend per month and one day per week, totaling approximately 7-8 call shifts monthly. Please note that the department is closed on six major holidays.
