About the Team
Ashley River Tower (ART) perioperative services is located on the fourth floor of the ART building, offering adult outpatient and inpatient surgeries across a wide range of service lines including general, plastics, oncology, cardiac, thoracic, heart and lung transplants, vascular, colorectal, bariatric, and robotics. Our clinical programs are nationally recognized for excellence in cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and transplant surgery, as well as general and GI surgery. Notably, MUSC is the only heart and lung transplant program in South Carolina, certified by the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). We house dedicated ORs for cardiac surgery that support traditional CT procedures, heart transplants, and the VAD program, while also providing innovative solutions like TAVR for heart valve repair and replacement.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse II, you will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level. This role operates under general supervision, utilizing the principles of the nursing process to deliver safe and effective care. You will interact with other members of the health care team to achieve desired clinical results. This position is specifically scheduled for weekend nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, covering 36 hours per week. The role supports our 24-hour charge nurse coverage for after-hours and weekends, ensuring continuous care for emergency cases and scheduled procedures.
