As a Nurse Manager I, you will be responsible for the 24-hour management of a specific patient care unit, service, or program. This role is pivotal in directing and supervising the functions of your assigned area, ensuring the highest quality of care for patients and families. You will serve as a leader who develops, implements, and interprets policies while managing unit-based budgets and human resources.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing and the Unit Medical Director to plan budgets, develop quality indicators, and drive performance improvement initiatives. Your day-to-day involves coordinating patient care delivery, analyzing staffing patterns to meet patient needs, and coaching staff on educational and research activities. You will also be responsible for identifying and implementing projects that meet organizational goals, ensuring that age-appropriate supplies and equipment are available, and that your team is trained to meet the developmental needs of the populations you serve.
