About the Role

The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in daily practice. This role provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing. You will serve patients aged 18 to 150, performing telephone triage for acute and chronic needs, administering immunizations and medications, and assisting with in-office procedures such as incision drainage and joint injections.

Beyond direct patient care, you will act as a preceptor to support the development of other staff and healthcare students. You will also provide leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes, assist the Nursing Supervisor in developing departmental standing orders, and ensure departmental compliance with DNV standards.
