The Risk and Insurance Manager serves as a strategic partner to company leadership, property teams, and external stakeholders to safeguard the organization's assets and reputation. This position is dedicated to cultivating a culture of safety and financial resilience by identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risk exposures across all business operating lines.
In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of the company's insurance programs, from securing and renewing coverages to overseeing complex claims investigations. You will act as the primary liaison between internal teams, insurance brokers, carriers, and legal counsel, ensuring that risk transfer strategies are robust and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. A significant portion of your time will be spent on the ground, conducting weekly Quality Assurance inspections at assigned properties to verify adherence to safety protocols, OSHA standards, and loss-control recommendations.
The role requires a proactive approach to safety, involving the development of preventative programs, emergency preparedness planning, and the assessment of environmental hazards such as asbestos, mold, and lead-based paint. You will coordinate accident investigations, manage claim resolutions, and analyze data to identify trends that drive continuous improvement in operational safety and risk management.
