The Risk and Insurance Manager serves as a strategic partner to company leadership, property teams, and external stakeholders to safeguard the organization's assets and reputation. In the dynamic landscape of multi-family property management, this role is critical for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risk exposures across all business operating lines. You will be the central figure in managing, securing, and renewing insurance coverages while overseeing the full lifecycle of claims, safety compliance, and contractual risk transfer.
Your day-to-day involves a blend of high-level strategy and on-the-ground execution. You will partner closely with insurance brokers, carriers, and consultants to analyze coverage and loss control initiatives, ensuring that budgets, deductibles, and limits align with the company's financial goals. Beyond the office, you will conduct weekly Quality Assurance inspections at assigned properties, evaluating compliance with safety protocols, OSHA standards, and insurance loss-control recommendations. From coordinating accident investigations to developing emergency preparedness plans, you will ensure that safety training and hazard mitigation are consistently applied across the portfolio.
