Chipton-Ross is seeking RF Test and Development Engineers for a contract role based in Baltimore, MD. This position is designed for passionate engineers dedicated to monitoring and supporting product technical performance while ensuring strict adherence to delivery schedules. The role serves as a critical bridge between design, manufacturing, and program management, focusing on the development, integration, and testing of production hardware.
Engineers in this role will engage in a mix of hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and strategic analysis. You will design and implement testing methods and equipment while supporting First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY) and hardware deliveries. A significant portion of the work involves analyzing test data to identify early trends, compiling data to define necessary changes in procedures or manufacturing processes, and collaborating with design engineering to implement hardware improvements.
You will also support technicians through troubleshooting and training, monitor product yields to maintain program targets, and actively participate in program meetings to report on yield issues, investigate detractors, and drive root cause corrective actions. Success in this role requires the ability to interface effectively with manufacturing management, test technicians, production engineers, system engineers, and program support teams.
This is a contract opportunity operating on a 9/80 workweek schedule. The role covers the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Candidates must be prepared to work in an environment that requires the ability to view classified government information.

Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline. Experience with FPGA. Experience with Lab Windows CVI, C / C++ programming. Test Stand programming. Experience with digital, analog, RF test equipment, RF theory and high-speed digital. Experience with differential digital interfaces like LVDS. PXI/PXIe and VME bus experience. Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware.
