About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to own end-to-end revenue recognition across our SaaS subscriptions, usage-based billing, and professional services. This is a frontier finance role designed for a subject matter expert in ASC 606 who is ready to scale with us.

Unlike traditional finance roles, this position is deeply integrated with our AI Builder teams. You will not just use AI as a side tool; you will redesign how revenue accounting is done by implementing agentic AI solutions to automate invoicing, reconciliations, and revenue recognition workflows. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive accuracy, scalability, and speed in our close process, serving as the technical accounting point of contact for Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, and FP&A.

Our Approach to Work

Artera operates with a hybrid model, with office locations in Santa Barbara, CA, and Philadelphia (Wayne), PA, where team members typically come in three days a week. We are also building geographically concentrated "Hiring Hubs" in key metropolitan areas including Boston, Chicago, Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. To be eligible for employment, candidates must reside in one of our hybrid office cities or a designated hiring hub. This hub-based model is designed to cultivate strong local connections and team cohesion while allowing for flexibility.

Requirements

verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
verified4–7 years of progressive accounting experience with focus on revenue recognition in SaaS, software, or technology

Nice to Have

Active CPA in good standing with Big 4 or national public accounting experience covering SaaS, software, or healthcare tech clients. Digital health background with HIPAA familiarity and understanding of EMR/EHR integration and healthcare buyer dynamics. Combination of public and private accounting experience. Experience with RevPro, Zuora Revenue, Certinia, or similar revenue recognition platforms. Experience supporting a company through rapid growth, venture financing, or IPO/public-company readiness; familiarity with SaaS unit economics (ARR, NDR, CAC payback, LTV) and quote-to-cash.
