BMA is seeking a Retirement & Benefits specialist with federal human capital experience to manage complex benefit transactions and retirement planning. This role is critical for ensuring accurate processing of benefit enrollment forms, standard transactions, and retirement calculations. You will serve as a key resource for employees navigating retirement systems, including FERS and CSRS, as well as early out and buyout programs like VERA and VSIP.
In this position, you will schedule and provide general information to employees regarding standard benefit options. You will utilize agency payroll and personnel systems to generate data on time until retirement, cumulative retirement amounts, and the impact of specific programs on retirement annuities. Your responsibilities include gathering and processing program documents such as VERA/VSIP applications, retirement actions, and incentive actions. All processing involving a commitment of government funds or the determination of employee entitlements will be reviewed by SEC personnel before finalization.
