About the Role

The Store Manager leads Mattress Firm's vision and company initiatives, achieving sales performance goals by holding associates accountable for the execution of in-store merchandising across multiple store units. This role drives selling programs, manages related KPI results, and supports the omni-channel experience. As an effective coach, the Store Manager develops associates' skills and performance, fostering a collaborative and motivated team dedicated to success. You will ensure teams always put the customer at the center and create a compelling, engaging environment for the Mattress Firm team.

Day in the Life

Your journey begins with building deep connections. You will conduct one-on-one meetings to understand your team's motivations and personal or professional aspirations, developing a comprehensive team "bio book" that evolves alongside them. You'll hold 30-60-90-day check-ins with new team members to discuss progress and opportunities. Strategically, you will analyze reporting to determine appropriate staffing levels and partner with leadership to make necessary changes. You'll serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical and product knowledge to associates and customers, while identifying skill gaps to address through coaching. From managing stock inventory and merchandise flow to executing social media strategies with marketing, you will ensure the store operates efficiently and competitively.
