About the Role

The Store Manager leads Mattress Firm's vision and Company Initiatives, achieving sales performance goals by holding associates accountable for the execution of in-store merchandising. This role is about more than just managing a store; it is about creating a compelling and engaging environment for team members while ensuring the customer remains at the center of every interaction.

As an effective coach, you will develop associates' skills and performance, fostering a collaborative and motivated team dedicated to achieving success. You will lead selling programs, drive related KPI results, and support the omni-channel experience. Your day will involve conducting one-on-one meetings to understand your team's motivations and personal aspirations, developing a comprehensive team "bio book" that evolves with your team, and holding 30-60-90-day check-ins with new members to discuss progress.

You will also serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical and product knowledge to associates and customers. By analyzing company reporting, you will identify skill gaps to address through coaching and plan strategically to determine appropriate staffing levels. You will partner with marketing to implement social media strategies that positively impact brand awareness and increase sales, while maintaining awareness of competition and developing strategies to counter it.
