About the Role
As a Shortage Control Associate, you play a vital part in creating a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service. Your presence at store entrances, exits, and high-risk areas directly impacts the store's security and the overall shopping experience. By exhibiting command presence and knowledge of theft trends, you help mitigate theft and create a safe, enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.
You will be the first point of contact for our customers, engaging with them and associates in a manner consistent with our core values. Every interaction will feature a confident, friendly, and energetic greeting, complete with eye contact and a smile. Your discipline, awareness of your surroundings, and commitment to safety standards are critical as you monitor the entrance to reduce opportunities for shoplifting and dishonest activities. Your positive attitude and expertise in shortage reduction programs will help build trust and respect among customers and associates.
You will serve as a valuable partner to store and field leadership by identifying and reporting theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty. Additionally, you will support the team by training associates on shortage reduction programs and role-modeling safety as a top priority.
