About the Role

This position is essential to the success of our retail stores. Customer Service Specialists work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. You will be expected to promptly resolve any customer concerns, ensure maximum client satisfaction, and stay up-to-date with product features while maintaining the high quality and visual standards of the store.

Hiring Process

Step 1 – Online Application Find the role(s) that interest you on our Careers page. Set aside 15 minutes to create your profile by entering or importing your details from one of our job board partners.

Step 2 – Digital Interview Upon review of your application, qualified candidates will be invited to complete a digital video interview via HireVue. The interview will consist of a few behavioral-based questions. You'll be able to record and complete your video interview anytime, anywhere, though we ask that this step be completed within 7 days of receiving an invitation.

Step 3 – In-Store Interview Your video interview is reviewed by a member of our Recruitment team, and our top candidates are invited to meet with our team in a store, specialty wholesale branch, floorcovering facility, or delivery service terminal.

Location and Work Model

The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #3110, located at 140 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402. This is a Part-Time job.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • verifiedMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion

  • verifiedPrevious experience selling paint and paint-related products preferred
  • verifiedPrevious experience operating tinting and mixing equipment preferred
  • verifiedAbility to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language preferred
  • verifiedAbility to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish preferred

Nice to Have

High School diploma or GED. At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service. Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products. Previous experience operating tinting and mixing equipment. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
