About the Role
The RT Vent Field Clinician is a specialized Respiratory Therapist dedicated to delivering optimal care to patients requiring ventilator support in alternate care settings. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless transitions from hospital to home, providing preventative, rehabilitative, and palliative respiratory services in accordance with AdaptHealth's policies.
As a field clinician, you will serve as a critical resource for patients, families, and referral sources. Your day involves conducting clinical assessments, reviewing and updating Plans of Treatment, and ensuring the accuracy of all documentation. You will collaborate closely with physicians, referral agencies, and internal teams to address patient care issues promptly. A key aspect of this position is educating patients and caregivers on the use of ventilator equipment and supplies, while also providing in-services to hospital staff and other professionals regarding clinical best practices.
This role requires a high degree of autonomy and clinical expertise. You will evaluate ventilator records, troubleshoot equipment, and make data-driven decisions based on compliance reports. Additionally, you will manage on-call responsibilities outside of business hours to ensure continuous patient support and safety.

Requirements
- verifiedAssociates degree from an AMA approved respiratory program
- verifiedValid and unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by the branch
- verifiedCPR certified
- verifiedOne (1) year of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT or clinical nursing with Vent experience
- verifiedValid and unrestricted driver's license
