The RT Vent Field Clinician is a specialized Respiratory Therapist dedicated to delivering optimal care to patients requiring ventilator support. Operating within AdaptHealth's network, this role extends respiratory services to alternate care sites, ensuring a continuum of preventative, rehabilitative, and palliative care. The position serves as a critical bridge between the patient, their family, and the broader medical team, utilizing agency and community resources to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes.
In this role, you will not only provide direct clinical assessments and equipment management but also act as an educator and advocate. You will collaborate closely with physicians, referral sources, and other patient agencies to ensure prompt attention to care issues. A significant portion of the day involves evaluating ventilator records, ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions and care plans, and facilitating smooth transitions for patients moving from highly technical hospital settings to the comfort of their homes. You will also serve as a resource for hospital staff and professionals, conducting in-services on equipment and clinical best practices.
AdaptHealth is committed to providing high-quality home medical equipment and services. As a Field Clinician, you will play a vital part in the company's mission by promoting new program development, ensuring operational excellence through personal visits, and coordinating educational activities. Your work directly supports the organization's goal of maintaining compliance with rigorous Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and third-party payer requirements while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Candidates selected for an interview will undergo a standard evaluation process to assess clinical expertise and cultural fit. This typically includes a review of credentials, a discussion of past clinical experiences with ventilator patients, and an assessment of problem-solving abilities in a home care setting. Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in equipment troubleshooting, compliance documentation, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
AdaptHealth is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We consider qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
