About the Role
The RT Vent Field Clinician is a specialized Respiratory Therapist dedicated to delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients requiring ventilator support. Operating within AdaptHealth's network, this role focuses on preventative, rehabilitative, and palliative care delivered in alternate sites, primarily patient homes. The position serves as a critical bridge between clinical expertise and patient outcomes, ensuring that care plans are not only accurate but also optimized for the patient's unique environment.
In this role, you will function as a clinical resource and educator. Your day involves conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, troubleshooting ventilator equipment, and collaborating closely with physicians, referral sources, and care teams to address patient needs promptly. You will play a key part in discharge planning for highly technical cases, ensuring smooth transitions from hospital to home settings. Beyond direct patient care, you will provide in-services to hospital staff and caregivers, educate on best practice standards, and utilize compliance software to track and trend patient outcomes.
The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making based on compliance data and clinical assessments. You will be responsible for maintaining rigorous documentation standards, ensuring adherence to Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and upholding strict confidentiality under HIPAA regulations. As a field clinician, you will also assume on-call responsibilities and travel throughout the service area to support patients and operational needs.

Requirements
