About the Role
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be the cornerstone of patient care, responsible for evaluating respiratory needs and administering prescribed therapeutic services. This role is designed for those who thrive in a dynamic environment where every shift brings new challenges and opportunities to impact patient outcomes. You will work closely with physicians to develop and monitor comprehensive care plans, ensuring that every treatment aligns with specific medical orders and departmental guidelines.
Your day-to-day involves more than just technical procedures; you will be an educator for patients and their families, providing crucial information about health conditions and connecting them with community support resources. From managing advanced respiratory modalities to maintaining critical equipment, your expertise ensures the safety and well-being of those in our care. You will also be on the front lines during medical emergencies and rapid responses, requiring a constant state of alertness and a commitment to safety.
Hiring Process
We are currently seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist for a 12-week contract with the possibility of extension. This position operates on a part-time basis with day shifts, featuring 2x12-hour shifts per week. Shift differentials are available for night, weekend, and additional shifts. Interested candidates should ensure they meet the specific licensure requirements for the state of work (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin), including BLS certification and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
