About the Role
This Respiratory Therapist position provides comprehensive care to patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric, serving both in-patients and out-patients. The role focuses on delivering respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support. You will set up, monitor, and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, while also drawing, analyzing, and reporting on arterial blood gases and EKGs.
Beyond clinical procedures, you will deliver intermittent therapy, assist with changing artificial airways, and educate patients and co-workers on treatment plans. Your work requires adapting your behavior and communication style to respect the privacy and specific needs of diverse patient populations, ensuring care is appropriate for the age and condition of those you serve.
