As a Respiratory Therapist at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital Midwest, you will be a vital member of our clinical team, dedicated to the evaluation and care of patients requiring respiratory support. In this PRN role, you will administer prescribed therapeutic services, developing and monitoring comprehensive care plans based on specific diagnoses and physician orders.
Your day-to-day involves assessing patient needs, implementing advanced respiratory care modalities, and communicating effectively with patients and their families to educate them on their health conditions and available community resources. You will also play a critical role in responding to medical emergencies and rapid responses, maintaining a constant state of alertness to ensure patient safety. Beyond clinical duties, you will assist with the calibration and maintenance of respiratory equipment and manage departmental inventory to keep our operations running smoothly.
This position is based at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in the Midwest, operating on a PRN basis with a Night Shift schedule. You can expect to work 1 to 2 shifts per week, with opportunities for shift differentials for night, weekend, and additional shifts. This flexible arrangement allows you to contribute to our team while balancing your personal schedule.
