North Alabama Medical Center is a 263-bed facility serving as the primary referral center for major trauma cases in Northwest Alabama. As a Certified Respiratory Therapist, you will embrace a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. In this role, you will partner with the medical team to deliver high-quality respiratory care, ensuring patient safety and recovery through rapid assessment and appropriate intervention during codes and emergent calls. Your work will involve measuring lung capacity, analyzing blood samples, and evaluating patient responses to therapy per the plan of care.
Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in educating patients and families about illness management and community resources. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes and best practices. This position requires flexibility to work varied shifts and units as needed, ensuring that our community receives reliable, compassionate care around the clock.
