Our Respiratory Therapy department is committed to delivering high-quality evaluation and treatment for patients with respiratory conditions, ensuring that every individual receives personalized care based on their specific diagnosis and needs.
This position is a calling for those passionate about respiratory health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be the frontline provider for patients requiring respiratory care, administering prescribed therapeutic services and developing comprehensive plans of care. Your role involves assessing patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of treatment, then implementing and monitoring these plans alongside advanced respiratory care modalities.
You will work closely with physicians to ensure care aligns with specific orders and department guidelines. A key part of your day involves educating patients and their families about their health conditions and connecting them with community support resources. You will also be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of all respiratory equipment, ensuring the department operates safely and efficiently.
This is a weekend-only role scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 18:30 to 07:00. You will be expected to maintain a constant state of alertness, responding to medical emergencies and rapid responses while working in a safe, collaborative environment.
Candidates must hold the required professional licenses and certifications for the specific state of work location (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin), including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
