At SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, this position is more than a career; it is a calling. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide essential evaluation and care for patients, administering prescribed therapeutic services to support their recovery and well-being.
You will work as part of a dedicated team to assess patients, develop individualized care plans based on diagnoses, and implement advanced respiratory care modalities. Your role involves monitoring patient conditions, educating patients and families about health conditions, and connecting them with community support resources. You will also play a critical role in responding to medical emergencies and rapid responses, ensuring a constant state of alertness and safety.
Schedule & Compensation Highlights
This is a part-time, day shift position requiring two 12-hour shifts per week. The schedule includes rotating weekends and holidays. Shift differentials are available for weekend work. Additionally, eligible candidates may receive a generous sign-on bonus, paid on the second paycheck, contingent upon a two-year service commitment to SSM Health.
Hiring Process
Candidates must hold a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), a Respiratory Care Practitioner license from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration, and a Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association. An Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience is required.
