About the Role
This position is more than a career; it is a calling. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will serve as a frontline evaluator and caregiver for patients requiring respiratory support. Your role involves administering prescribed therapeutic services, developing comprehensive care plans based on patient diagnoses, and monitoring patient conditions with precision. You will be responsible for implementing advanced respiratory care modalities, educating patients and their families about health conditions, and connecting them with community support resources.
In this role, you will work in a constant state of alertness, responding to medical emergencies and rapid responses with skill and composure. You will also play a key part in maintaining the safety and functionality of departmental equipment, ensuring that all tools are calibrated, cleaned, and sterilized according to established procedures. Your work directly impacts patient outcomes, requiring a blend of clinical expertise and compassionate communication.
Work Schedule
This is a regular, full-time position scheduled for 36 hours per week. The role operates on a night shift (18:30 to 07:00) consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. Shifts occur on various days, and every third weekend is required. This schedule allows for dedicated coverage during critical nighttime hours while supporting a sustainable work-life balance for team members.
