As a Respiratory Therapist, you will serve as a vital member of the clinical team, responsible for assessing patients and developing personalized plans of care based on their specific diagnoses. Your day will involve administering prescribed respiratory therapeutic services, monitoring patient conditions, and performing advanced respiratory care modalities. You will work in a constant state of alertness to respond to medical emergencies and rapid responses, ensuring patient safety at all times.
Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in patient education, helping patients and their families understand health conditions and connecting them with community support groups. You will also assist in the maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of respiratory equipment, ensuring that all tools are ready for immediate use. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic environment where communication, physical stamina, and clinical precision are essential.
Candidates must hold a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care and a Respiratory Care Practitioner license from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. A Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association is also required. An Associate's degree in respiratory care or equivalent experience is necessary to apply.
