About the Role

As a Respiratory Therapist at DePaul Hospital, you will be the frontline provider for patients requiring advanced respiratory care. This role is vital to our mission of keeping our community healthy, as you will administer prescribed therapeutic services, monitor patient conditions, and implement complex treatment modalities. Whether responding to medical emergencies and rapid responses or educating patients and families about their health conditions, your work directly impacts patient outcomes and recovery.

You will work closely with physicians and the broader care team to develop and adjust care plans, ensuring that all treatments align with specific orders and departmental guidelines. Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety and readiness of our equipment, handling calibration, cleaning, and sterilization processes. This position is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic, high-alert environment where constant vigilance and safe practices are paramount.

Schedule and Commitment

This is a full-time position on the Night Shift, running from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends (every third weekend) and holiday coverage required. We welcome both Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT). To support your growth and stability, we offer a sign-on bonus for external qualified candidates, contingent upon a two-year service commitment.

Hiring Process

Candidates meeting the required professional licenses and certifications—including Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) status, and Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure—are encouraged to apply.
