At Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, part of SSM Health, we believe that healthcare is more than a career—it is a calling. Our Respiratory Therapy department is dedicated to providing exceptional, specialized care to children and their families, ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of respiratory support in a compassionate environment.
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will serve as a vital member of our clinical team, evaluating and caring for patients with respiratory needs. In this PRN (per diem) capacity, you will work on an as-needed basis, bringing flexibility to your schedule while making a critical impact on patient outcomes. Your day will involve assessing patients to develop tailored care plans, administering prescribed therapeutic services, and monitoring patient conditions with advanced respiratory modalities. You will also play a key role in educating patients and families about health conditions and connecting them with community support resources. Whether responding to medical emergencies or maintaining critical equipment, your alertness and expertise ensure the safety and well-being of the children we serve.
To join our team, candidates must possess a current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure in the state of Missouri, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The application process involves submitting your credentials for verification of your state license and national certifications. Once your qualifications are confirmed, you will be integrated into our per diem pool to be called upon as patient needs arise.
SSM Health values our exceptional employees and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid parental leave, flexible payment options for earned wages, and upfront tuition coverage. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. SSM Health does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
