At Nevada Gold Mines (NGM), the Mineral Resource Management team sits at the heart of a collaborative, high-performing technical group. Our mission is to transform geological insight into real mining decisions, ensuring that every model, interpretation, and judgment directly influences how ore is identified, evaluated, and extracted. We are committed to a safe work environment, sending every person home safe and healthy every day, while leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.
This position is designed for a geologist who thrives on problem-solving, field engagement, and translating complex geology into fit-for-purpose resource models. You will integrate geology with geostatistics to solve non-straightforward problems, working across both linear and non-linear approaches. Your work will turn complex data, including challenging metallurgical variables, into models that drive mine decisions.
In this hands-on role, you will coach and mentor mine geologists while designing best-practice resource estimation workflows. You will build and validate geological and block models of varying complexity, ensuring a clear focus on value and risk. A significant part of your day involves regular pit and/or underground visits to ground-truth interpretations and model performance. You will also prepare high-quality geological interpretations and resource estimates for senior leadership, ensuring orebody knowledge is clearly communicated across the broader business. This is an opportunity for technical depth, real impact, and ownership of your work.
Thank you for your application. Please note that only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
