The Residential Program Worker (RPW) at Oak Hill's Granby location serves as a vital support partner for individuals with disabilities, working within their homes and the broader community. This role is designed for those with no prior experience who are eager to enter the direct care field, as well as individuals seeking a meaningful career change. The position focuses on empowering participants to achieve their individual goals through personalized support.
You will work a 32-hour week, scheduled from Friday to Monday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Your day-to-day involves providing a wide range of services tailored to each person's unique needs, including personal care, domestic household services, and assistance with personal and medical appointments. You will also facilitate vocational services, community activities, and in-home supervision, all while guiding participants in developing self-help and daily living skills.
As a union position, this role offers a competitive hourly rate of $18.50 – $19.40, dependent on the shift.
