About the Role

Under the direction of the Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRR) Residential Supervisor, the Mental Health Worker is a direct care position dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of each resident within the home. This role serves as a vital link in facilitating community involvement and interaction, working in cooperation with residents, staff, and administration.

In partnership with the CRR Residential Coordinator, the Mental Health Worker provides a continuum of services that includes system advocacy, informational referrals, supportive counseling, family and resident education, and crisis intervention. The role requires facilitating the implementation of general and specific household and individual routines while serving as a positive role model for the resident population. Success in this position involves developing therapeutic alliances with adults, working collaboratively to resolve issues within therapy relationships, and managing effective team partnerships through co-therapy and role flexibility.
