We are seeking a Residential Care Associate I to join our team at the Coos Crisis Resolution Center in Coos Bay, Oregon. This 6-bed, licensed crisis residential facility serves adults experiencing a mental health crisis, offering both individual and shared rooms within a community setting that includes a kitchen, living areas, and outdoor spaces.
In this role, you will provide caring companionship and assistance with daily tasks to clients. You will support individuals in developing appropriate daily living skills and independent activities to increase or maintain their level of functioning. Your day will involve assisting with meal preparation, clean-up, and food purchasing while encouraging client participation. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will pass medications and perform delegated medical care as prescribed by the client's primary care provider. Additionally, you will transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services, while maintaining compliance with established productivity standards for documentation.
This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit, with wages, benefits, and working conditions set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (Full Time, Swing).
With our MHACBO-accredited training program, you will earn CEUs towards applicable mental health certifications while attending required, paid training. You will receive qualified clinical supervision and gain on-the-job experience. Successful completion of crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings is required, which involve performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.

Direct Care staff must be 18 or older at the time of hire. Driving is an essential function of this position; successful applicants must provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and pass a DHS criminal background check.
