As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will support adolescents facing emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges within a therapeutic residential setting. This role is vital for implementing treatment plans and providing direct behavioral support that reinforces coping skills and pro-social behaviors. You will work closely with clinicians, educators, and families to create a safe, structured environment where youth can thrive.
Your day-to-day involves monitoring client safety, documenting progress, and facilitating therapeutic groups and skill-building activities. By utilizing trauma-informed approaches and verbal de-escalation techniques, you will help manage challenging behaviors and crises while modeling healthy coping skills for the youth in your care. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the clinical and behavioral skills of the adolescents you support.
Candidates selected for an interview will be guided through our selection process, which includes verifying required certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and crisis intervention training (e.g., CPI, PRO-ACT). A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is also required.
