About the Role
This position serves as the frontline guardian of our lodge and shelter, ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant environment for residents during overnight shifts. The role is critical to the operational integrity of our homeless management services, acting as the primary point of contact for resident intake and daily oversight.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of residents into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the facility remains in a neat and proper order. Your presence ensures that safety protocols are upheld, behavioral expectations are met, and the physical environment is secure for those seeking shelter.
Schedule and Working Conditions
This role operates on a night shift schedule from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. The position requires the ability to respond quickly and calmly to emergency situations while maintaining control and initiating proper corrective actions. The work environment involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional light physical effort such as lifting or carrying objects under 25 lbs.
Hiring Process and Requirements
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or G.E.D. While one year of experience in security or social work is preferred, equivalent combinations of training and experience that provide the necessary knowledge and skills are also considered.
