About the Team

Vituity is a 100% physician-owned partnership led by frontline physicians who are all equitable owners. Our ownership model provides autonomy, local control, and a national system of support, allowing you to focus your attention where it matters most—on your patients. We cultivate an environment where passion thrives and success comes through shared purpose. Founded on a "culture of brilliance," we value team accomplishments over individual achievements, leveraging our collective strengths to make a positive impact in local communities.

With opportunities at 890 practices across the country serving 14.5 million patients annually, Vituity offers a unique career trajectory. If you ever need to move, you can take your job with you. As an equal partner from day one, you are backed by a best-in-class corporate healthcare team and supported by the broad peer-level expertise of 6,000 Vituity clinicians.

About the Role

This position serves as an Emergency Medicine Residency Associate Program Director – Partner at Kaweah Health Medical Center in Visalia, California. You will partner with the Residency Program Director to shape the strategic direction of the program, ensuring it meets all state, federal, and ACGME standards. Your role is pivotal in developing and delivering an engaging, competency-based curriculum that fosters resident growth and excellence.

In this capacity, you will act as a mentor and coach, guiding residents through their educational and career goals while evaluating their performance through structured in-training assessments. You will serve as the chair of the clinical competence committee and a member of the Program Evaluation Committee, playing a key role in recruitment, selection, and the overall quality and reputation of the residency. Whether facilitating didactic education, supervising clinical rotations, or stepping in as an interim program director during leaves, you will help create an educational environment conducive to learning and professional development.

The Practice & Community

Kaweah Health Medical Center is the largest hospital in Tulare County and the only trauma center for a catchment area of nearly 500,000 people. Recognized as an ACS Level III Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and STEMI Receiving Center, the facility sees an annual ED census of over 90,000 patients. Residents here gain exceptional experience caring for a diverse patient population with a wide array of presenting complaints. The hospital also houses a mental health facility and a rehabilitation hospital, and currently hosts six ACGME-accredited residency programs.

Visalia, California, is a charming city in the San Joaquin Valley known for its rich agricultural heritage and proximity to breathtaking natural landmarks. As the gateway to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, the area offers easy access to towering sequoias, scenic hikes, and outdoor adventures. Downtown Visalia features a vibrant cultural scene with unique shops, local dining, and historic venues like the Fox Theatre. With hot summers and mild winters, the city provides an ideal setting for year-round activities and convenient travel to California's coast, mountains, and larger cities.

Our Culture & Commitment

We are unified around the common purpose of transforming healthcare to improve lives. At Vituity, we believe everyone has a role to play in that mission. When we work together across sites and specialties as an integrated healthcare team, we exceed the expectations of our patients and the hospitals we serve. We foster a culture of appreciation, taking the time to recognize and show gratitude for a job well done.

Vituity is committed to providing an inclusive environment where diversity is valued. We do not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, or any other basis protected by law.
