This position serves as an Emergency Medicine Residency Associate Program Director – Partner at Kaweah Health Medical Center in Visalia, California. You will partner with the Residency Program Director to shape the strategic direction of the program, ensuring it meets all state, federal, and ACGME standards. Your role is pivotal in developing and delivering an engaging, competency-based curriculum that fosters resident growth and excellence.
In this capacity, you will act as a mentor and coach, guiding residents through their educational and career goals while evaluating their performance through structured in-training assessments. You will serve as the chair of the clinical competence committee and a member of the Program Evaluation Committee, playing a key role in recruitment, selection, and the overall quality and reputation of the residency. Whether facilitating didactic education, supervising clinical rotations, or stepping in as an interim program director during leaves, you will help create an educational environment conducive to learning and professional development.
Kaweah Health Medical Center is the largest hospital in Tulare County and the only trauma center for a catchment area of nearly 500,000 people. Recognized as an ACS Level III Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and STEMI Receiving Center, the facility sees an annual ED census of over 90,000 patients. Residents here gain exceptional experience caring for a diverse patient population with a wide array of presenting complaints.
