Based in Birmingham, Alabama, this full-time position serves as a vital bridge between clinical research protocols and patient care. You will act as the primary liaison between study candidates and the principal investigator, guiding participants through the clinical trial process with professionalism and empathy.
Your day will involve recruiting and consenting eligible study subjects, fielding their questions, and ensuring they fully understand the study parameters. Beyond patient interaction, you will manage the technical aspects of biospecimen collection, including the preparation of slides, cutting paraffin sections with a focus on tissue preservation, and coordinating pre-operative blood collection. You will also handle the logistics of data management, completing Case Report Forms, maintaining study records, and ensuring the confidential transfer of data to Aurora and its clients. Additionally, you will manage inventory for study supplies and oversee the collection and transport preparation of biospecimens to their final destination.

Pathology Assistant or advanced Med-tech degree and certification. BA/BS/MA/MS science related degree. Experience or knowledge of cytology, molecular biology and pathology. Prior supervisory or management experience.
