The Departments of Radiology and Psychiatry are seeking a talented Postdoctoral Fellow to support ongoing multidisciplinary neuroimaging research projects. This role explores brain structure and neural network mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders, such as cognitive impairment and bipolar disorder. You will develop and implement novel pulse sequences and reconstruction algorithms to improve the spatial-temporal resolution of dynamic MRI, thereby enhancing human brain imaging, particularly in cerebrovascular reactivity (CVR) mapping and functional MRI (fMRI).
As a neuroimaging research fellow, you will work under the direct supervision and mentorship of Dr. Yuxiang Zhang, Ph.D., and Dr. Osama A. Abulseoud, MD. You will collect, process, and analyze structural, diffusion tensor imaging, and fMRI neuroimaging data. Additionally, you will develop new MR imaging pulse sequences, adapt imaging protocols, and perform complex-valued signal modeling and statistical analysis of BOLD responses.
Our departments are committed to the mentorship and professional development of trainees in a collegial and supportive environment. As a research fellow, you will have the opportunity to participate in professional development activities and workshops. You will also develop excellent oral communication skills by presenting scientific work in departmental grand rounds, journal clubs, and academic seminars such as ISMRM to disseminate research findings within and outside the department.
