The Senior Healthcare Informatics Analyst serves as an independent strategic partner, driving analytics to understand and improve how healthcare is valued, utilized, and delivered. This role exists to bridge the gap between complex data and actionable business strategy, focusing on patient-level health utilization, provider performance, risk-adjusted revenue optimization, and medical cost management.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with business areas and IT to lead problem-solving, solution development, and strategic decision-making. You will act as an analytics advisor to collaborating departments, translating business rules into robust analytical models and serving as a liaison among healthcare analytics, Enterprise Information Management (EIM), IT, and business stakeholders. The role requires a deep understanding of the US healthcare delivery system, whether in payer or provider settings, and a commitment to complying with all associated laws and regulations.

Master's degree in a related field. Knowledge of outcome research design and controlled study design. Advanced knowledge of SAS including Enterprise Miner. Strong understanding of provider payment methodologies, population health management, and risk adjustments. Strong understanding of clinical groupers (DRG, APC, ETG, MEG, DxCg, HCC) and quality metrics (HEDIS, AHRQ). Knowledge of commercial risk optimization and MA risk optimization.
