The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and Magee Women's Hospital is seeking a board-eligible/certified reproductive endocrinologist. This role is designed for a physician with expertise in assisted reproduction and reproductive endocrinology to join a busy clinical program.
Our division collaborates regularly with the Magee Women's Research Institute (MWRI), one of the nation's top biomedical research institutions. The REI Division focuses research on fertility and hormonal conditions affecting fertility, making this expertise available to patients through various clinics. The Center for Fertility and Reproductive Endocrinology (CFRE) is a robust unit incorporating reproductive endocrinology, fertility preservation, reproductive urology, genetics, embryology, andrology, and endocrinology. Additionally, the division houses the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Center and the Reproductive Late-Effects program for long-term care after gonadotoxic therapy.
UPMC is a world-renowned healthcare provider and insurer with a $23 billion budget, employing over 92,000 people, including 4,900 physicians. We operate over 40 academic, community, and specialty hospitals, along with more than 800 doctors' offices and outpatient sites. UPMC is closely affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh and is dedicated to inventing new models of accountable, cost-effective, patient-centered care.
You will join a team of 7 physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in a dynamic clinical environment. The position is primarily clinical (80%), with the remaining time dedicated to teaching and research. This split allows for excellence in clinical care while engaging with the academic mission of the department.
The role offers significant opportunities for research through the University of Pittsburgh and the Center for Reproduction & Transplantation, which focuses on fertility preservation and translational research in gonadal tissue cryopreservation and transplantation. Providers in practice collaborate closely with these centers. The division is committed to training the next generation of REI specialists through a robust fellowship program, and all clinical programs serve as a platform for research and education.
Academic rank will be dependent on your qualifications, experience, and achievements. Call duties are split evenly among providers, with some weekend availability required for time-sensitive testing and procedures.
